After visiting Japan in 2019, we decided to take the plunge and learn the language so we could explore more the next time we were able to visit.

Over the last 2 years, Ayu sensei has been an incredible guide on our journey; she is equal parts knowledgeable and fun and we always look forward to our lessons together.

As a couple who last did any Japanese study in high school, we were really rough in the beginning and Ayu could not have been more accommodating or patient.

If you are eager to learn Japanese in an environment that's fun and are looking for something that offers more than just the textbook; we could not recommend Ayu more highly.

I am so grateful for my Japanese lessons with Ayu-sensei! I have been meeting with Ayu-sensei almost every week for a year and a half. In that time, my Japanese conversation skills have improved exponentially and I have a confidence in my ability to communicate that I never had before.

When booking my lessons, Ayu-sensei always has lots of options so it’s easy to find a time that works best for me even with different time zones. We usually start by discussing every day things and then we review grammar with a textbook for the remainder of the session. I look forward to meeting with Ayu-sensei every week and we have become friends through our lessons as well!

Ayu is a great teacher! She’s easy to talk to and great at conversation, so practicing the language with her is a lot of fun. She doesn’t just teach you about the language, but will also tell you about Japanese culture and everyday life.
